Pushing Through and Balancing Life

It is a week away from the Arnold and I am overcome with mixed emotions of excitement and nerves. Work has been crazy hectic and I’ve been juggling training, meal prep, and being present for all my patients. It hasn’t been easy on days that I’ve had to stay late at the office because of emergency patients that walk in last minute and then getting up early the next morning to train. I also commute 45 minutes each way to work, but when you want something in life, you work hard and you stay Read more [...]

Getting it into gear!

As that little expression goes, it's that time to start the prep and get ready to bring the house down in New York come May 19th. I am very eager and excited to make my pro debut coming up which seems to be right around the corner. Hany has a game plan set out for me as he knows my body much better this year than last and knows exactly what I need to make the appropriate changes. As my prep is getting into full swing, I will be keeping you all updated on my progress and where you will be able to Read more [...]

Diet, Discipline and Focus on The Arnold

I am less than three weeks from the Arnold Bikini International, and I still cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. I feel like it was just last week where I was wishing everyone a Happy New Year and now it is already the beginning of February with Valentine’s just around the corner. Speaking of Valentine’s, I’m extremely sad that this year I won’t be indulging in chocolates during this holiday because of contest prep, but I’ll be saving all my chocolate indulges for after the show. Prepping for a great 2012

I’m sitting here sipping on my morning coffee and reflecting on all this coming year is going to bring. I’m extremely excited to be prepping for the first big show of the year, the Arnold Bikini International. I’m currently two weeks into contest prep. Training has been great so far with my energy levels being high with the help of my pre-workout supplement EVP. My muscles have stayed full during workouts, and I’ve gained upper body strength and development over the past few months. Read more [...]

Looking Ahead to 2012

Trip to San Jose I spent the second weekend of the New Year in San Jose with Hany and Team Evogen. There were quite a few of Hany's clients and fellow IFBB pros that attended and it was great to see everyone. It was great to train and hang out together. We are like one big family, and Hany is the Godfather! I had the chance for several one-on-one training sessions with Hany while I was in San Jose. This really turns up my gains and muscle development. The highlights were chest and back workouts. Read more [...]

Almost Showtime!

As the Sacramento Pro shows nears in one week, I can feel myself getting the familiar pre-contest butterflies in my stomach. Doubt slowly begins to creep in my head but this is where I have learned to trust myself and my coach that I will be prepared to shine on the Sac stage. When I walk on that stage, I will be a presentation of my dedication to this sport. The countless hours in the gym, training in the early hours of the morning, detailed attention to nutrition, perfect timing of my Evogen Read more [...]

Overcoming Challenge

I recently competed at the Olympia and needless to say, the overall outcome was a disappointment for me. I definitely didn’t place the way I had hoped for and was extremely disheartened. But like all champions who have experienced failures in the past, I realize I needed to get up, brush off the dust, and push forward . It’s only with the challenges and failures, I will be able to appreciate the sweetness of success when it comes. Overall, the Olympia was a great experience. I had the Read more [...]
