1. What encouraged you to begin competing in figure competitions?
In high school, I suffered from an eating disorder and I began lifting weights as part of my recovery. Lifting allowed me to put on weight in a healthy way that made me feel good. 1. What encouraged you to begin competing in bikini competitions?
A lot of things played into my decision to start competing. Last year my boyfriend competed at John Hansen's ABA Natural North America Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure Championships and then took me to the Olympia in Las Vegas. Taking it all in … and enjoying the victory!
I am truly still on cloud nine as they say, and taking in the title in every day as 2011 Mr. USA. I haven’t even got tired of telling the whole story about the contest experience and all preparation that went into the show, especially the last week. People are always intrigued when I tell them how I generally do things and how drastically my body changes over a few days right before the contest. A Dream Come True!
I am almost speechless after the USA’s and winning my IFBB Pro card. One of my dreams has come true, but without hard work, dedication, and persistence, it may have never been a reality.
