Tamer El Guindy

Tamer was born on June 28, 1977 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. From a very young age, his parents, Iara and Moustafa El-Guindy instilled great values in both of their sons, Tamer and younger brother, Terrick. Their upbringing was very much centered on great education and cultivation of discipline and dedication through practicing various sports.
Having parents in the medical field kept his early interests focused in exact sciences, especially chemistry and biology. But, being a great student did not hold Tamer back from excelling in soccer, basketball, track and field, and swimming. Despite having the skills for these sports, Tamer needed to build more strength. So, at 16-years-old he decided to join a local gym.
Inspired by images of Flex Wheeler, Nasser El-Sonbaty and many other legends that plastered the walls, Tamer’s strength began to grow and he quickly rose to the top of his respective teams, winning school and state championships by scoring and running his way through the competition and becoming a superb overall athlete.
In 1997, Tamer’s parents sent their sons to Seattle, Washington to complete their education. There, they attended Shoreline Community College. This is where Tamer met his fiancé, professional fitness star, Zhanna Rotar. Both Tamer and Zhanna were running for executive positions in Student Government. With so much in common, the two hit it off immediately.
Tamer’s academic excellence eventually earned him a very prestigious position as an International Consultant for Gold’s Gym while Terrick went on to pursue acting – attending schools in New York and Los Angeles.
